Indian Ocean Lodge
Nestled amongst mature Takamaka trees, coconut palms and colourful tropical plants, the 4-star Indian Ocean Lodge is just a few steps away from the island’s longest beach, Grand Anse. Soak up the sun on the sandy white beaches or enjoy unsurpassed swimming in the blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Location
The Indian Ocean Lodge is tucked away on the west coast of Praslin, the second largest island in the Seychelles archipelago. The airport is a 5-minute drive and flights from Mahé take approx. 15-minutes. A ferry service operates daily trips between Mahé and Praslin and the 44 km cruise is a scenic ride with several islands, and perhaps some dolphins, to see along the way.
Rooms
Our guest rooms are nestled along the beach across two-storey structures of traditional Creole architecture and surrounded by tropical gardens. The interiors have been designed to uniquely identify with Praslin in every way, with pastel and earth tones and made out of traditional materials like palm leaves and coconut husks and shells. The white-washed furniture, built by local carpenters, lends a soothing, rustic finish to the room.
Each spacious room offers air conditioning, satellite TV, mini-fridge, safe, tea and coffee making facilities and hair dryer.
Restaurant/Bar
Our Blue Marlin Restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, dinner and anything in between. Dine inside the main building or outside on the veranda. Breakfasts are served till mid-morning, dinner in the evening with our à la carte pool bar and bistro open throughout the day.
The pool bar offers a selection of bistro favourites, such as homemade burgers, sandwiches, pastas and fresh fish selections, all available from the à la carte menu. Sample island cocktails in the evening and enjoy the sunsets while listening to live local music; a selection of bands and singers perform most evenings and during dinner.
